This course is designed for individuals acting as the entry controller or ‘top person’ responsible for overseeing entry and work arrangements within medium risk confined spaces. It also includes the practical aspects of working inside such spaces.

Learners will develop the competence to:

• Control and monitor access to medium risk confined spaces.
• Conduct and document pre-entry checks and risk assessments.
• Prepare and use safety equipment and tools appropriately.
• Ensure safe entry and exit procedures are followed.
• Maintain communications with workers inside the space.
• Initiate and manage emergency procedures, if required.
