Aimed at: Emergency services personnel, rescue teams, and others involved in performing rescues in swift water and flood environments. 

The Swift Water and Flood Rescue Technician (SRT) course is a comprehensive, internationally recognised training program designed for personnel who may be required to perform rescues in fast-moving water and flood conditions. It provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to work safely and effectively in challenging water environments, both day and night.  

This course has long been regarded as the benchmark training standard for specialist water rescue teams and is suitable for both initial and revalidation training. 

Compliance 

Complies with relevant guidance and legislation, including: 

• DEFRA Module 3 (UK standard for water and flood rescue operations) 

• National and international best practices for water rescue (e.g., NFPA 1006) 

• Employer and agency protocols for water rescue response

8. Apply decision-making and leadership skills in real-time rescue scenarios
