Fire Warden
Effective staff training is the first step towards preventing a fire in your business. No matter the size, all businesses have a legal obligation to maintain fire safety.
‘How many fire marshals do I legally need?’
This is a question we often get asked and unfortunately the answer to that question isn’t as clear cut as you would think, it all depends on the size and the nature of your business and may need more than you actually think! You need to conduct risk assessments to assess how many people are in your building (staff and clients) and if your building is a low/medium or high-risk building.
The general guidance is 1 Fire Warden for every 10 members of staff, but remember, this all depends on the risk of the building. Something else to consider is the number of shifts worked and holiday/sickness cover.

By choosing us you are not only receiving expert training at a competitive price, you are also putting money back into our county’s amazing fire service
“I think what came across is Ray and Jason's obvious hands on knowledge, they've been in fires and have seen the damage, destruction and consequences. Looking back at other fire awareness training we've had just now doesn't seem as valid. You know they are talking from experience and that means an awful lot when talking about such an important subject. It made people think realistically, rather than just another bit of training”
Sue Risdon - Health & Safety Coordinator - Ratcliffe School
“I have done a few of these courses with other companies and this was the best I have been on. I think as it was conducted by a retired firefighter it was a lot more informative. Also, it was the first time I have had all extinguishers demonstrated. On other courses it was always just Water and CO2”
